In the most recent issue of Muzzleloader Magazine, you will find an outstanding article, penned by our own ALRA Patriot #153, from Minnesota, Mark Sage!! Well, done, Mark!! I very much enjoyed the article, and Mel Hankla, the fellow who portrays Simon Kenton, looks great in the photos you included with the article!
For those that don't know him, Mark is very well read on the subject of Simon Kenton, and also many other period subjects, one of which is religious participation in the early Colonies. At an ALRA National Gathering, a few years back, I was lucky enough to hear one of Mark's seminars on the subject, and also a superb Sunday Service that he offered for those in attendance!! Great stuff, all around!
If you have not already enjoyed his article in the November/December 2008 issue of Muzzleloader Magazine, then make sure you get a copy, and do so. It will be well worth your time and effort!
