Just a Heads up about a Special Event:

Fort de Chartres State Historic Site will celebrate the 250th anniversary of the 42nd Royal Highlanders (The Black Watch), led by Capt. Thomas Sterling, take possession of Fort de Chartres from St. Ange and

celebration of the French and Indian War. The Event will take place October 9th thru 11th, 2015.

There is a $10 registration fee per person to attend this event, children 12 and under are
free. The registration packet will include an event medallion and keepsake booklet, a meal ticket for the catered dinner and dance Saturday evening, a site map, event schedule, and a local area map showing local attractions.
