need help identifying this working rifle

Post by shortbarrel » Sun Feb 06, 2011 9:48 am

rifle seem to be a northern gun. signed on top of barrel in script B. L. Raims. lock is original and round tail percussion, marked T.DAVIDSON & CO. Rifle consist of lock, stock(maple), barrel, brass trigger guard and two brass ramrod thimbles and a very well made set triggers. the barrel is 15/16 at muzzle, slightly swamped, and has a brazed on bolster to accept the percussion nipple, also the barrel is cast steel and 30 cal. The tang is 3 1/2 long, with pointed end and is held on with one screw. the trigger guard looks like a late Pennsylvania, bow is not very wide. Gun is in good condition, it being a working rifle. I just registered yesterday and don't know how to send pictures yet, anybody got any ideas as to where i find out.
